A great chance to try our hands at Golf Croquet, courtesy of Garway Croquet Club.
A group of 12 intrepid participants were guided in their Golf Croquet experience with tuition provided by Jim and Julie. Despite the ground being rock hard, the hardy folk worked their way round while escaping to hide under the shade as often as possible. Well done to them!
After the ‘foray’ we adjourned to The Garway Moon for a drinks followed by the Chaf’s Special Thali comprising
Veg Thali – or a choice from from Fish, Chicken, Lamb, Beef or Butterfly King Prawn – served on a Thali plate with Tarka Dhal and Veg Curry, Rice and Homemade Roti + Popadom.
Even better: following this, we all enjoyed a free concert by the ever-popular u3 Rock Band playing all your favourites from 60’s, 70’s and even 80’s
And the real bonus was raising almost £200 towards hosting the Carbonnais when they come next May
