The AGM on Wednesday, March 4th at Bar 125 saw a great turn out of members old and new
Marilyn introduced the event with her round up of an exciting year which included not only a visit to Carbonne but an exhibition in the Shire Hall to celebrate 50 years of Friendship.
The treasurers report indicated that we need to put a lot of effort into fund-raising if we are to reciprocate in May 2027 full the welcome we received in Carbonne in September 2025.
The proposal to raise the membership to £20 per person was passed unanimously.
The current committee was confirmed by unanimous vote with Marin Newman and Jim Martin joining for the first time.
The AGM was followed by a traditional meal of Cawl followed by Welsh Cakes with a chance to chat, discuss the next visit of the Carbonnais and further fundraising ideas.
